
Shelley Sampson
General Psychologist
Michelle Sampson, also known as Shelley, is a registered psychologist who has worked with many diverse clients through her experiences in Residential Care, Specialist Support Coordination, and Positive Behaviour Support. She has worked with clients in child safety, NDIS, and corrections, as well as clients from indigenous and LGBTQIA+ communities. In assessments, she is experienced in memory, cognitive, and ADHD assessments across the lifespan. She is known to bring a warm and friendly environment into her practice, often using humour and clients’ interests within the therapy setting.
Shelley uses therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Somatic Therapy in her practice. She is passionate about adapting to individuals and creating a holistic approach to wellbeing and mental health. Her areas of interest and passion are trauma, forensics and neuroscience within the mental health space. She is also a certified LEGO therapist.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family, playing video games, going to escape rooms, and learning new skills.
