Registered Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)
Roger (he/him) is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar. He practices with a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to cultivate a safe and validating space for his clients. He has experience working with clients at all life stages and families, in both community settings and private practice.
Roger provides therapy to clients affected by anxiety, mood issues, stress & adjustment issues, OCD, grief, trauma, burnout, and relational difficulties. He can support clients living with addiction, psychosis, or Eating Disorders together with a treating GP, psychiatrist, dietician or community team. He can also provide assessments.
His evidence-based, client-centred approach balances his clients' need to feel seen with their drive towards change, at a pace uniquely suited for each individual. He strives to work together with clients and families to form a deeper understanding that nurtures empowerment, positive changes, and healing.
Roger's practice encompasses a focus on attachment, relationships, community & identity, cultural sensitivity, social justice, LGBTQI+ inclusivity, a neuro-affirming stance, and an interest in students' and men's mental health. He draws from therapeutic frameworks of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Meta-Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed skills training and Mindfulness-based approaches.
Roger completed his Master of Clinical Psychology training with QUT. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He can offer therapy in English, Malay and Mandarin.
