This will include information gathering, observation, goal setting and direct therapy intervention. To provide a meaningful service that suits your needs, we are able to adapt your therapy plan along the way.
Direct Services Activities
These services (intervention, sessions or telehealth sessions) are billable at
$193.99/hour.

✓ School participation that is not covered by school therapist/s

Beyond direct contact with you or your client, there are many tasks that contribute to therapeutic outcomes. These are required to understand client needs and support the best outcomes for clients.
Therefore, the following activities are billable at $193.99/hour (then pro rata for part hour) in addition to direct client contact:
✓ Clinical Case Note Writing (10 minutes per therapy session)
✓ Therapy Planning
✓ Session Preparation (10 minutes per therapy session)

✓ Resource Development
✓ Stakeholder Liaison
✓ Assistive Technology Research & Prescription
Travel Time (to facilitate community visits or education facility observations as agreed) is billed at $97.00/hour plus a non-labour travel charge as a reasonable contribution to travel-related costs.
Occupational Therapy Assessments
Occupational Therapy assessments are focused on reviewing Occupational Performance (completing everyday tasks), skills and the underlying performance demands of the individual.
Assessments are holistic and based on outcomes that are meaningful for the individual and their support network.
1. Occupational Therapy Functional Capacity Assessment or Developmental Assessment
What is a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA)?
A method of collating evidence of an individual's everyday function and requirement for disability support.
Purpose:
✓ Provide a point in time overview of an individual's functional capacity to provide education to an individual or caregiver;
✓ Demonstrate changes in functional capacity due to improvements (related to capacity building) or a deterioration in function;
✓ Provide evidence to a funding program (i.e. NDIS) for requirements for disability support needs;
✓ Contribute to a diagnosis process, completed by another allied health/medical practitioner.
Process:
✓ Initial Assessment (including goal setting) - in clinic, home visit or telehealth [1.5 hours]
✓ Follow Up Observation/Assessment (if required) - in clinic, home visit or telehealth [1.17 hours]
✓ Standardised assessment questionnaire (completed online by a caregiver or interview style)
✓ Stakeholder Liaison (allied health team, educators, caregivers, paediatrician etc) [1-2 hours]
✓ Report Writing (including assessment review) [3-6 hours]
2. Occupational Therapy Assessment
What is an Occupational Therapy Assessment?
A method of identifying what the goals are for an individual, what the strengths are and what the performance challenges might be.
Purpose:
✓ Outcomes can be used to support therapy planning;
✓ The information may provide education to an individual or a caregiver group with strategies to support participation in daily activities.
Process:
✓ Initial Assessment (including goal setting) - in clinic, home visit or telehealth [1.5 hours]
✓ Follow Up Observation/Assessment (if required) - in clinic, home visit or telehealth [1.17 hours]
✓ Stakeholder Liaison (allied health team, educators, caregivers, paediatrician etc) [1-2 hours]
✓ Report Writing (including assessment review) [2-4 hours]
3. Sensory Processing Assessment
What is a Sensory Processing Assessment?
Provide information on an individual's sensory processing needs and outline strategies to support their daily participation across all environments.
Purpose:
✓ Identify sensory processing needs;
✓ Articulate sensory processing needs and impact on completing everyday tasks;
✓ Provision of strategies to support engagement in daily tasks through environmental changes or regulation (and/or co-regulation) strategies.
Process:
✓ Initial Assessment (including goal setting) - in clinic, home visit or telehealth [1.5 hours]
✓ Stakeholder Liaison (allied health team, educators, caregivers, paediatrician etc) [1 hour]
✓ Report Writing (including assessment review) [2-2.5 hours]

Assessment Notes
✓ Assessment/s completed will vary between clients, based on the proposed outcome and their individual needs. If you are anticipating a certain assessment type, please discuss this with your therapist to identify whether it is appropriate.
✓ An assessment will be considered complex if the client has more than two diagnoses, demonstrates behaviours of concern or is subject to any child protection or forensic order/s. Additional time completing stakeholder liaison and report writing will contribute to client outcomes.
