Kimberley Huang

Educational and Developmental Psychologist (Registrar)

Kimberley is a registered psychologist who completed her training in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

 

Kimberley has experience working with people of all ages including young children, adolescents, adults, and their families. She has worked with clients and families across a range of settings including schools, private practice, and hospital settings. In particular, Kimberley has an interest in the area of psychometric assessment of children and adolescents. Throughout the assessment process, Kimberley works closely with key stake holders to ensure an accurate understanding including the young person’s strength as well as the challenges they face in different settings. Kimberley also aims to provide practical recommendation that can best support the young person by placing focus on nurturing their strengths.

 

In the area of therapy, Kimberley’s approach is warm, and she is passionate about assisting clients in creating supportive relationships. Kimberley’s work draws upon attachment theory and developmental system perspectives to inform and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Some of the treatment strategies that she utilises include cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
