Bridie Stewart

Counselling Psychologist

Bridie is a registered psychologist who holds a Master of Applied Psychology and an area of practice endorsement in counselling psychology. 

 

Bridie is a warm, compassionate and creative psychologist, who focuses on building a genuine relationship with each person. This allows for a safe place to explore complex feelings and situations. Bridie uses an integrative approach in therapy, drawing on techniques such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness and creative processes. She holds a strengths-based perspective, acknowledging the resilience and resourcefulness of people when they are faced with difficult situations.

 

Bridie has worked in a range of settings, including private practice, community mental health services and hospital-based settings. She enjoys working with both adolescents and adults. As a general psychologist with a counselling endorsement, Bridie has experience working across a broad range of mental health difficulties.
