Alicia is a warm and intuitive psychologist who works with clients in a holistic, structured manner that is responsive to a client’s needs.

Alicia has provided psychological services across multiple settings, including private practice, educational setting and the not for profit sector. Her clinical experience includes work on trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, stress management, workplace issues, long term illness, and working with people seeking to better understand themselves, or seeking support with relationship issues or life transitions, and she has a genuine interest in all areas of mental health.

Of importance to Alicia is building a warm and collaborative alliance with each client, within this she applies an integrative approach tailored to the specific needs of each individual and informed by evidence based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Focused, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Her caring style aims at establishing a safe and non- judgemental environment in which clients can feel heard and supported, and when useful challenged also.

Alicia holds a Bachelor of Theology, Graduate Diploma of Psychological Studies, Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and a Master of Professional Psychology. She was also the recipient of a Dean’s Award for Academic Achievement. In addition to this, she has completed two years post- graduate advanced training and supervision in the UK based IAPT model of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Trauma Focused Therapy. She is committed to helping her clients to increase their sense of wholeness, confidence, insight and capacity to embrace the life they desire. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds.

Alicia has full registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a full member with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Alicia is registered with Medicare as a Provider and rebates may apply if referred through your GP with a Mental Health Care Plan.
